The McKenna Meadows Homeowners Association’s Board meeting was held on Thursday, 18 June 2009 at 7:00pm. Board members present were President Lynn Miller, Treasurer Yvonne Starks, Secretary Deanna Temple and Board Member Alice Calero. Absent was Mary Nalley.
Secretary’s report: None
Treasure’s report: Letters will be sent to all homeowners with past due accounts for yearly dues. Reminder that as of 31January2010 a $25 dollar per month compounded last fee will begin.
Old Business: Discussion on speed bumps occurred and board member Alice Calero will research what thickness the asphalt must be prior to installation.
Homeowners Association yearly BBQ will be July 18th. It will occur in 85th Ave Cul-de-sac. A homeowner donated $122.08 to purchase hamburgers. Homeowners are asked to bring own drinks, lawn chairs and a salad or dessert to share. A brief general homeowners meeting will also occur.
The neighborhood garage sale will be the first weekend in August. The board will obtain permit.
New Business: Elected to new Secretary was Deanna Temple.
Kim Eldridge did not start repayment to the Association as per court order. The court has turned the amount due into collections.
Treasurer will explore process to place liens on homes not actively repaying dues and/or fees.
There is a continued problem with aggressive dogs running loose in neighborhood. Board voted and passed in 3 to 1 vote to institute, as authorized by CCR, a $25 fine per incident (compounded monthly) of loose dogs. Homeowners need to call City of Roy police and a police report must be filed as proof of violation.
The Board will be contacting Association members who may be interested in serving on a Neighborhood Welcoming Committee. If you are interested please contact any board member. The goal would be to connect them to others in the neighborhood and provide a copy of the CCR’s.
Discussion occurred on starting a “Yard of the Month” Discussion was tabled until next meeting. If any homeowner has ideas please contact any board member.
Letters will be sent to all properties not mowing yards or in violation of other rules of CCR. The mowing is very important as entering fire season and 4th of July is coming soon with fireworks.
The next general meeting will be July 18th flyer will be distributed with time and reminder of BBQ.
