The McKenna Meadows Homeowners Association Board meeting was held on Tuesday, 22 March, 2011. Board members present were President Lynn Miller, Treasurer Yvonne Starks, Secretary Linda Killingsworth, Earlene McGuire and Bill Starks.

Treasurer’s Report: The HOA account balance is at $23,451.40. As of this
meeting all but ten homeowners have paid their 2011 HOA dues.

President’s Report: The McKenna Meadows annual Spring Clean Up is Saturday, 14
May 2011 at 09:30 A.M. All residents are encouraged to help clean up community
areas. We will be meeting in front of the gopher preserve across the street
from 85th Avenue Court South. There will be a cost for grass seed, bark, soil
and possibly a few plants cost to be provided in the next minutes.

Nick Clark will continue to maintain the common areas during 2011. He will
also plant grass on the easement leading up to the railroad tracks on 295th
Street S.
David Sapp (253) 925-1759 will pick up old appliances, scrap metal, etc.,
at no cost.

New Business: There has been a problem with children entering the gopher
preserve, damaging trees, and throwing rocks onto the street and easement.
The gopher preserve and the area to the south of McKenna Meadows are no
trespassing areas as the pocket gophers are a protected species by the state
of Washington. The trees bordering the gopher preserve and tracks have
suffered major damage due to children swinging on their branches, it would be
unfortunate if anyone would get hurt, and the damage to the trees is
irreparable. Parents, please make sure your children are aware of where they
may and may not play in the neighborhood.
Anyone riding a motorcycle, scooter or motorized bike while in McKenna Meadows
must wear a helmet as required by state law.

Please remember to send your requests to the PO Box prior to beginning your outdoor projects in order to obtain approval from the Architectural Committee.
